Sports
With experience providing care to sporting teams at all levels, Garry and Juliet are well qualified to treat injuries from the sports field or related to high level of physical activity needed to remain at the peak of sporting performance. From fractures, strains, sprains, tears and ruptures, we have seen it all! Kennedy Road Physio takes pride in our hands-on approach to rehabilitating our patients to return them to the sports field ‘niggle-free’ as soon as we can. -
Musculoskeletal (muscles & joints)
Like the vast majority of private physiotherapy practices, the emphasis to date has been treatment of musculoskeletal conditions such as injuries to joints, muscles and spinal problems triggered by accidents, sports and everyday activities. The emphasis adopted by Kennedy Road Physio has always focussed on the Manual Therapy method, with the Physiotherapist taking a ‘hands-on’ approach to treating and preventing injuries, alongside advice to develop an effective and injury free approach to sport. -
Occupational Health/Ergonomics
It is common for patients to enter our clinic with injuries originating in the workplace or stemming from overuse or misuse of muscles and joints. We aim to work alongside Private Insurance Providers, Employers and ACC to ensure these issues and injuries are treated effectively to ensure our patients can promptly return to work or full duties and remain healthy and productive employees. -
Post-Surgical Treatment
Both of our providers keep up to date with clinical methods utilised by local and national surgeons and are able to provide both pre and post surgical support to our patients. We work closely with GP’s and surgeons to ensure the needs of our patients are met and the correct rehabilitation offered. -
Children
Kennedy Road Physiotherapy can cater to the needs of patients at any age, and prides itself on the ability to connect with and effectively treat injuries affecting school children. Garry takes particular interest in young people involved in rugby and football and has experience providing care from school to representative level. Kennedy Road Physio offers a discounted ACC surcharge for students, with the cost of each visit currently $10. -
Hand Therapy
Garry and Juliet both have experience in treating and rehabilitating injuries relating to the wrist, hand and fingers. We understand how disabling and frustrating these injuries can be and aim to provide a service which will treat the source of the pain and offer strategies to prevent similar issues in the future.
